NMASERVIC Counselor in the Spotlight - September 2010

Diana L. Hamilton, LPCC

Diana worked for 35 years as a school counselor and department chair in Santa Fe; Ft. Leonardwood, Missouri; Mescalero, NM; and Alamogordo Public Schools.  ; Retired from schools in 2006 after Past President of NMSCA, Past Secretary of NMCA, NMASERVIC member, Church organist and accompanyist, Licensed Prof. Mental Health Counselor  since 1994, Member of Public Education Department task force on counselor competencies, Member Public Education Department task force on graduation paths; currently in private practice on limited basis.

 

NMASERVIC is a division of the New Mexico Counseling Association (NMCA) and was chartered in 1995. Membership with NMASERVIC is obtained by first becoming a member of NMCA.

NMASERVIC creates a professional environment to empower the expression, exploration, development and research of evolving spiritual, ethical and religious values as they relate to the person, to society, and to the profession of counseling and human development. We honor the diversity of humanity and the diverse expressions of the human spirit.

There are currently over 60 NMASERVIC members. Each year, we offer a conference based on a specific theme relative to spitritual, ethical and religious values in counseling, complete with Continuing Education Credits (CEC's). Throughout the year we also sponsor workshops on various topics of interest within the field of counseling, most of which provide CEC's.
